EQMonitor is an application designed to provide timely access to earthquake information across Japan.

Features

Earthquake Information and Emergency Earthquake Alerts
- Users can specify notification conditions based on their region.
- The app receives and notifies users of earthquake data released by the Japan Meteorological Agency, including emergency earthquake alerts.
Access to Historical Earthquake Data
- Users can review past earthquake information for further analysis.
- The database allows users to access historical earthquake records dating back to 1919.
Real-Time Display of Emergency Earthquake Alerts
- Upon the issuance of an emergency alert, the app displays the expected reach of P-waves and S-waves, anticipated maximum seismic intensity, and the epicenter.
- The emergency alerts are updated in real-time, accessible from anywhere with an internet connection.
Display of Strong Motion Monitoring
- The app features the Strong Motion Monitor provided by the National Research Institute for Earth Science and Disaster Resilience.
- (Please note that the Strong Motion Monitor aims to intuitively capture seismic activity. Due to real-time processing of observation data, fluctuations caused by noise may occur. Therefore, the values displayed in this application should be regarded as reference only.)
