Upon installation, navigate to the "Settings", under "Language and Keyboard", select "Slider Input Method" and switch input method as follows:

• [After version 4.0] In the default input method options, switch to "Slider Input Method".
• [Before version 4.0] Long press in the text editing field, switch to "Slider Input Method".

Slider Input Method combines the characteristics of touch-screen input methods:

General:

• Includes Chinese keyboard, English keyboard, symbol keyboard, and half-width/full-width symbol keyboard.
• Half-width consists of three pages, full-width consists of four pages. Symbol keyboard can be customized by the user on the third page.

Content:

• Utilizes swipe method for Zhuyin Chinese input. Three versions of swipe methods are available: Slider version, Dual-page version, and Single-page version. Corresponding to Android phone users, users familiar with Chinese input on iOS, and Android tablet users.

Features:

• Smart candidate words selection: Based on the previously entered word, selects the most suitable word and places it at the front of candidate words list.
• Error touch correction: If a wrong word is selected, after deletion, user can still choose the original candidate word.
• Customized emoticons/symbols: Provides 14 editable keys for users to quickly input customized symbols/strings.
• Long press on Chinese/English keys to switch to settings page
• Swipe mode switching
• Swipe to switch keyboards:
  • Left swipe: Switch between Chinese/English/custom symbols
  • Upward swipe: Switch symbol keyboards
  • Downward swipe: Close keyboard
• Related terms and long-press shortcuts (Emoticons, punctuations, domain)

Hello everyone! As many of you may be aware, Slider Input Method hasn't been updated for quite some time.

The fan page has been inactive for a while, and we deeply apologize to our loyal users.

The main reason is that our Slider Input Method is a project of a small university in Taiwan.

From its inception until now, it has been over a year. We appreciate all your love and support.

The members of our team have graduated, dispersing to various paths of life - employment, pursuing further studies, or military service. Consequently, finding time for meetings has become increasingly difficult.

The next version of Slider Input Method is currently in a state of 'being modified but requiring additional manpower.'

Our work will continue to endure.

We have genuinely considered the feedback from many users; the next version will be even more user-friendly!

Therefore, we are seeking volunteers who are willing to help with the development of Slider Input Method!

Greetings Users! The Slider Input Method team began efforts to carry out repairs during the summer of 2014.

Listed below are the key updates of Slider Input Method version 1.4:

1. Fixed issue where characters would break in the slider board after Android 4.1.2 versions.
2. Added characters to the character library like '姐' (sister).
3. Included heart symbol; removed reversed question mark.
4. New keyboard colors: 'Red', 'Orange', 'Yellow', 'Green', 'Cyan', 'Blue', 'Purple', 'Pink', 'Black'.
5. NTCB upgraded to university status; abbreviation changed to NTUB (National Taiwan University of Business).

Apologies from the Slider Input Team for the prolonged absence of updates and deeply regret any inconvenience caused to our supporters.

In the future, we hope enthusiasts of Slider Input Method will continue to support our work!
