When we talk about the Tafsir of the Quran, one of the most famous Tafsirs that comes to mind is the Tafsir-e-Maariful Quran. Tafsir Ibn-e-Kasir, Tafsir Fi Zilalil Quran, Tafsir At-Tabari, Tafhim-ul-Quran, and Tafsir Al-Jalalayn are examples of well-known Tafsirs. Among them, Maariful Quran is a renowned Tafsir.

The Quran, a grand scripture, is a source of guidance for all of humanity, regardless of faith. Understanding the language of the Noble Quran and knowing which verses were revealed in which context are prerequisites to grasp the Quran. Among Bengali translations of Quranic exegesis, Tafsir Al-Jalalain stands out. If you want to delve into Islamic jurisprudence (Fiqh), then having knowledge of Ibn-e-Kasir's Tafsir is essential.

Ma'riful Quran primarily is the interpretation of the Holy Quran itself. It has been compiled from the exegesis book by Maulana Mufti Muhammad Shafi (may Allah have mercy on him) and translated by Maulana Muhiuddin Khan. Ma'riful Quran, Ibn-e-Kasir's Tafsir, and Tafhim-ul-Quran provide detailed explanations of the Quran.

Maariful Quran in Bangla is a PDF-based application catering to Bengali-speaking Muslims. This translation brings Mariful Quran into Bangla from the work of Maulana Mufti Muhammad Shafi (may Allah have mercy on him). The Bangla translation includes all 114 Surahs of the Quran. Bengali-speaking Muslims should read Ma'riful Quran in Bangla as it complements other Bengali translations such as Tabseer Ibn Kasir and Tafsir Jalalain.

Tafsir Maariful Quran by Mufti Muhammad Shafi Usmani (may Allah have mercy on him). The complete eight volumes have been translated into Bengali by Maulana Muhiuddin Khan and published by the Islamic Foundation Bangladesh in Dhaka.

The origin of Ma'riful Quran dates back to Shawwal 1373 A.H. when the author initiated weekly radio lectures to explain verses from the Holy Quran. This educational series continued for a decade until it was discontinued. Despite obstacles, the esteemed author completed this monumental work in just five years.
