Pray the rosary anywhere: in traffic jams, traveling, on the bus, at home, listen to the speaker and repeat the prayer.

The prayers that make up the Rosary are arranged in groups of ten Hail Marys, called decades. Each decade is preceded by a Lord's Prayer and followed by a Glory Be. During the recitation of each set, one thinks about one of the Mysteries of the Rosary, recalling events in the lives of Jesus and Mary. Five decades are recited per rosary. Other prayers are sometimes added before or after each decade. Rosary beads are a help to say these prayers in the correct sequence.

The rosary begins at the short bead:

1. The sign of the cross on the crucifix;
2. The prayer "Oh Lord, open my lips; Oh God, come to my assistance; Oh Lord, hurry to help me," still on the Crucifix;
3. The Apostle's Creed on the Crucifix;
4. The Lord's Prayer on the first large bead (for the intentions of the Pope and the needs of ​​the Church);
5. The Hail Mary on each of the next three beads (for the three theological virtues: faith, hope, and charity); and
6. The Glory Be on the next large bead.

Then follows the prayer of the decades, repeating this cycle for each mystery:

1. Announce the mystery;

3. The Hail Mary on each of the ten small adjacent beads;
4. The Glory Be on space before the next large bead; and

1. The Hail Holy Queen;

The Mysteries of the Rosary are meditations on episodes in Jesus' life and death from the Annunciation to the Ascension and beyond, known as Joyful Mysteries, Sorrowful Mysteries, and Glorious Mysteries. Each of these mysteries contemplates five different stages of Christ's life.

The 15 promises fall into the category of "private revelation," and as such are a pious tradition that a person is free to believe or not believe.

• Whoever serves me faithfully through recitation of the Rosary will receive signal graces.
• I promise my special protection and most extraordinary graces to all who shall recite the Rosary.
• The Rosary shall be a powerful armor against hell; it will destroy vice, decrease sin, and defeat heresies.
• It will cause virtue and good works to flourish; it will obtain for souls abundant mercy of God; it will withdraw hearts to love for worldly things and its vanities and lift them to desire eternal things.
• Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means.
• The soul that recommends itself to me by recitation of the Rosary shall not perish.
• Whoever recites the Rosary devoutly applying himself to consideration of its sacred mysteries shall never be conquered nor overwhelmed by misfortune. God will not chastise him in His justice; he shall not perish by an unprovided death (unprepared for heaven). The sinner shall convert. The just shall grow in grace and become worthy of eternal life.
• Whoever has a true devotion for the Rosary shall not die without Sacraments of Church.
