This compact widget offers a straightforward display of your electricity provider's consumption status without the need to launch an app. It was awarded the "Smartphone App Award for Energy Conservation" by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy.

The widget is compatible with the following electricity providers:

• Hokkaido Electric Power
• Tohoku Electric Power
• Tokyo Electric Power
• Kansai Electric Power
• Kyushu Electric Power

Beyond simply checking electricity usage, this widget is equipped with features that assist in energy conservation. Tapping the widget presents a historical graph of power consumption trends, making it easy to anticipate usage patterns over time. Additionally, it incorporates weather and temperature data, as these significantly impact electricity consumption.

The widget also includes a ticker that displays the latest tweets from the electricity providers, along with energy-saving tips tailored to current weather and electricity conditions. It provides updates on power outages as well. Users can share graph images via social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook, and notifications are sent through LED indicators or the notification area when electricity usage exceeds 95%.

To minimize load on the electricity companies' and meteorological agency's servers, data is periodically retrieved from our cloud server developed on Google App Engine through an API format.

The app's main features include:

1. Analog Meter Display on Home Screen: Displays usage percentage and supply-demand status. The color of the numbers changes to orange at 90-94% and red above 95%, prompting caution. The background can also be made transparent based on user settings.
2. Rainbow Graph for Electricity and Weather Data: The top section shows the latest power data along with weather information, while the lower section displays a rainbow graph of electricity history (from March 23 onward). In landscape mode, data for one week is displayed collectively.
3. Ticker for Latest Tweets and Energy-Saving Tips: The bottom section features a ticker that provides energy-saving tips and recent tweets from electricity companies based on current conditions.
4. Notifications When Energy Levels Are Critical: If electricity usage exceeds 95%, users are alerted via LED or notification area messages regarding their energy status.
5. Graph Sharing: Users can share graphs through integrated apps such as Twitter, Facebook, Gmail, and photo albums on their smartphones.
6. Data Updates: Automatic periodic updates from the cloud. Users can also manually refresh to access the latest information by tapping the widget. Original data from electricity companies updates approximately every five minutes.
7. Settings: Options to customize transparency of the widget or adjust update intervals are available.

The app is subject to frequent improvements; thus, users are encouraged to check for updates in [My Apps] in the Android Market for optimal use.
