The goal of Dr. Pimsleur's audio courses

The goal of the Pimsleur method is rapid mastery of the English (American) language, understanding the algorithm and structure of English. You will be able to efficiently and quickly learn 2,000 basic words, phrases, and other language clichés for daily communication with native speakers.

All you need to do is download the lessons and accompanying texts for free, listen to the narrator, repeat after them, following the original memorization technique. Make sure to follow the recommendations provided with the course. Study no more than 1–2 lessons per day.

Each level consists of 30 audio lessons of 30 minutes each. According to Dr. Paul Pimsleur's assertion, these half-hour sessions are when the human brain most effectively absorbs new information. The entire course of levels 1, 2, or 3 is designed for 15 hours of independent work. After working through the first two lessons using this method, you will forever remember everything you listened to.

Dr. Pimsleur's "English for Russian Speakers" Course

The Pimsleur method is based on memorizing not English words but English ones transformed into Russian through association systems. The first level contains 30 audio lessons and 21 reading lessons. By studying this level, you will be able to freely work with 500 words and conversational structures. There are also levels 2 and 3, but the first one is foundational.
