• Spelling Practice: Truly remembering a word involves being able to read and spell it. Spelling practice tests your spelling ability on top of memorizing through word playback for better retention.
• Word Recitation: Recommended recitation method by DayDay Reader is to listen to the word first, deepen memory in the process, then select the explanation for the word. Proceed to the next recitation round upon correct selection.
• Add New Words: Quickly add words from other apps to DayDay Reader. For instance, while browsing a webpage, select a word, click the share button that pops up, and add the word to DayDay Reader without opening the app.
• Memory Algorithm: While you engage in word spellings, the app analyzes and records your familiarity with each word. It calculates the next appearance time for each word to help you scientifically plan your daily vocabulary memorization. The better you recite a word, the less frequent it appears; conversely, lesser proficiency means more appearances. DayDay Reader employs the Supermemo algorithm which differs from the Ebbinghaus method by scheduling word recitation based on daily units rather than minutes or hours. This offers flexibility in memorization scheduling, enabling you to simply recite today's words without worrying about specific times. The app will calculate the next recitation for you, so all you have to do is open it, listen to the words, and recite them.
• Daily Reminders: Learning improves with reminders. Daily notifications include study and review times. In the morning study session, open the word player to listen to words; in the evening review session, play word puzzle games.
