The "Book of Changes" (周易), also known as the "I Ching", is one of the "Three Changes" (三易) classics. It is believed to have been authored by King Wen of Zhou and his son Chang. The text comprises two parts: the "Classic" and the "Commentary". The "Classic" mainly consists of sixty-four hexagrams and three hundred eighty-four lines, each with explanations (hexagram judgments, line judgments), used for divination purposes. The "Book of Changes" does not introduce concepts such as Yin and Yang or Tai Chi – these are found in the "Commentary", influenced by Daoist and Yin-Yang scholars. The "Commentary" includes seven different interpretations of hexagram and line judgments, totaling ten sections, collectively known as the "Ten Wings".
