What the author mentioned in his introduction:
The Almighty Allah said: "And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me. I do not want from them any provision, nor do I want them to feed Me." This is a declaration that they were created for worship, so it is their duty to take care of what they were created for and to turn away from the attractions of this world through asceticism. It is a transitory home with no eternal abode, a passage for crossing with no permanent residence, a site of separation with no place for continuity. Therefore, the awake beings among its people are the worshippers, and the wisest among them are the ascetics. Allah said: "The example of [this] worldly life is but like rain which We have sent down from the sky that the plants of the earth absorb - [those] from which men and livestock eat - until, when the earth has taken on its adornment and is beautified and its people suppose that they have capability over it, there comes to it Our command by night or by day, and We make it as a harvest, as if it had not flourished yesterday. Thus do We explain in detail the signs for a people who give thought.

Many verses convey this meaning and the poet said it best:

• Indeed, Allah has mindful worshippers
• Who divorce themselves from the world fearing its trial
• They looked at it and when they realized
• That it is not a permanent abode for any living being,

If its state is as described and our state and what we were created for is as presented, then it is incumbent upon the accountable to adopt the ways of the righteous and follow in the footsteps of those with foresight. One should prepare for what has been indicated and focus on what has been brought to attention. The most correct path for him in this is following what has been authentically narrated from our Prophet, the leader of both early and later generations, the noblest of those who came before and those who will come after - may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him and all other prophets.

Allah also said: "And cooperate in righteousness and piety." It's authentically reported that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:

1. "By Allah, aiding a servant depends on his aiding his brother."
2. "Whoever guides towards good will be rewarded like those who follow him."
3. "Whoever calls to guidance will have a reward like those who follow him without their reward being diminished in any respect."
4. The Prophet said to Ali (may Allah be pleased with him): "Allah guiding one person through you is better for you than possessing red camels."

I saw fit to compile a summary of authentic hadiths that serve as a guide for their adherents towards the Hereafter, covering inner and outer etiquettes, providing exhortation and warning, encompassing various aspects of the manners of those on the path: including narratives on asceticism, soul disciplines, refining morals, cleansing hearts, addressing their ailments, maintaining bodily faculties, rectifying their deviations, in addition to other purposes sought by those knowledgeable.

My commitment was to only mention authentic hadiths within obvious parameters, supplementing well-known sound books. I included chapters from the Noble Quran with noble verses and provided clarifications or explanations where necessary. When I conclude a narration with "It's Agreed Upon," that means it was reported by both Al-Bukhari and Muslim.

I hope this book, if benefited from, serves as a driver towards goodness, shielding its reader from abominations and ruinous matters. I ask anyone who benefits from it to pray for me, my parents, my mentors, all our loved ones, and all Muslims collectively.

I place my trust in Allah the Generous, rely on Him, "Allah is sufficient for me. There is no power except with Allah," Almighty and Wise.
