The radio was founded on the first of Muharram in the year 1426 AH. It started very simply, being run by a single person with equipment no more sophisticated than a personal computer and a basic sound mixer. Its location was at the top of Bab Al-Qibla in the Holy Husseini Threshold in the city of Karbala. It occupied an area no larger than 15 square meters. The broadcasting content at that time consisted of live Ashura ceremonies broadcast directly from the noble Husseini courtyard, along with some pre-made materials from the computer. A simple transmitter with a power of no more than 60 watts was used for broadcasting, and the antenna was placed inside the structure of Bab Al-Qibla's clock tower, limiting the broadcast range. The intermittent broadcast continued until the end of that year's Arbaeen visit.

Realizing the importance of continuing and expanding this broadcast, the management began preparing the site structurally, setting up a simple studio, providing necessary equipment, and several computers. The preparations continued until the end of the year. With the beginning of the year 1427 AH, on the first day of Muharram, actual broadcasting started on a full daily schedule continuously from 10 a.m. until the completion of Maghrib and Isha prayers. The staff at that time did not exceed six people (a broadcast director, technician, presenter, and producer). A new 200-watt transmitter was acquired, and an antenna was installed on a special tower for the communications department.

Today, after development in all administrative and technical fields and with unlimited support from the management of the threshold, we broadcast via satellite (INTELSAT). We receive the satellite signal from the mentioned satellite and transmit it on FM transmitters in four provinces: Karbala Al-Muqaddasah at a frequency of 88.4 MHz, Najaf Al-Ashraf at 92.7 MHz, Baghdad at 93.7 MHz, and Wasit province at 92.7 MHz.
