The EU Digital COVID Certificate facilitates the safe and free movement of citizens within the EU during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This application is designed to assist service providers in verifying the authenticity of documents presented by individuals regarding vaccinations, recovery status, or testing results.

HOW THE APPLICATION WORKS

• The service provider scans the QR code of the EU Digital COVID Certificate presented by the visitor.
• The application reads the QR code and checks the validity of the certificate, ensuring that the presented document is genuine and not forged.
• When verifying an individual's EU Digital COVID Certificate, it is essential to confirm that the details match those on the person's identity document.
• Each EU member state interprets the information provided in certificates according to its national regulations. In Lithuania, the requirements are established by the Government of the Republic of Lithuania, with all relevant information available at www.koronastop.lt.

USE OF PERSONAL DATA

The EU Digital COVID Certificate contains essential information: name, date of birth, vaccination details, recovery status, or test results, along with a unique identifier. For verification purposes, only the validity and authenticity of the certificate are checked.

The application was developed under the guidance of the Ministry of Health by the state-owned enterprise Register Centre in collaboration with the international technology company CGI.
