How to Play Hoşkin?

CARD DISTRIBUTION
Distribution is counterclockwise. The dealer deals 25 cards to each of the 3 players and places the remaining 5 cards in the middle of the table.

BIDDING

• An auction is held to choose the trump suit. Unlike in Batak, cards in Hoşkin have point values.
• Based on these values, players submit bids considering the hand dealt before the game and the cards they anticipate winning during gameplay.
• If a player fails to meet their bid by the end of the game, they receive negative points corresponding to their bid.
• A player who passes is out of the bidding process.
• At the end of bidding, the 5 cards in the middle are revealed to all players.
• The player who made the highest bid takes these cards, chooses the trump suit, plays according to the bid.

REVEALING CARDS
Unlike Batak, each card in Hoşkin has a specific point value as follows:

• A: 11 points
• 10: 10 points
• K: 4 points
• Q: 3 points
• J: 2 points

Players can earn points by revealing specific groups of cards, such as marriages, teams, and others. These groups have predetermined point values which contribute to the player's score.

GAMEPLAY
The gameplay of Hoşkin bears similarities to Batak with notable differences due to the specific card values and types present in Hoşkin. The ranking of cards from highest to lowest is A > 10 > K > Q > J. In case of playing identical cards, the first player to play them wins the trick.

GAME END
At the end of the game, points from captured cards are summed up. The player who wins the final trick receives an additional 20 points. If a player fails to match their bid points, they receive negative points equal to their bid.
