"Learn to Read, Save the Animals" is an educational game that focuses on the alphabet and pre-reading skills through syllables and letters in Russian and Ukrainian. It aims at preparing children aged 3-4 years and older for school, teaching letters, syllables, and reading through engaging educational gameplay suitable for preschoolers aged 3 to 7.
The Evil Snow Queen has frozen the magical alphabet letters, causing animals to be trapped in ice. Only your clever child can save them by learning the alphabet letters and forming words - the animals' names.
By creating words from the alphabet letters, the child hears the sound of each letter subconsciously memorizing them. After your bright little one rescues all the animals, an educational quiz awaits, allowing preschoolers to reinforce their letter knowledge and reading skills.
METHODOLOGY
The application employs an effective phonics-based reading method akin to techniques such as "Zaitsev's Cubes" and Montessori principles:

<li>We Don't Need an Alphabet Book. Nor Do We Need to Know the Alphabet!</li>
<li>Learning to read does not require knowing letter names. Often, a child memorizes letters and the alphabet from books but struggles to read. The common pitfall is associating each letter with a picture, hindering word formation comprehension.</li>
<li>Eminent educator Nikolay Zaitsev asserts that alphabet books are harmful for young children. Instead of focusing on alphabetical names, "Learn to Read, Save the Animals" teaches children letter sounds that are easily combinable into words.</li>
<li>The game offers two reading modes:
 <ol>
 <li>Learning to Read by Letters: Ideal for learning letters and basics of reading, highly effective for memorizing letters and reading short words.</li>
 <li>Learning to Read by Syllables: For children who already know letters. Here, 'syllables' refer to consonant-vowel combinations making it easier for a child to read compared to complex school-based syllables.</li>
 </ol>

This free version of the educational game offers 4 learning levels. The full version includes all 16 levels progressively increasing in word complexity from 2-3 letters at level one up to 7-8 letters at the final level.
