Russian checkers 8×8

Move and capture rules:

• White starts the game
• Checkers move only on dark squares
• A checker must be captured if possible
• A checker can be hit both forward and backward
• The king moves and hits on any square of the diagonal
• Capturing follows the Turkish strike rule (an opponent's checker can be beaten only once in one move)
• If there are multiple capture options, any can be chosen
• When a checker reaches the edge of the opponent's field and becomes a king, it can immediately play by the rules of a king if possible

When a draw is declared:

• If a player has three or more kings against one of the opponent's kings and there hasn't been any change in the balance of forces on move 15 or later
• If there hasn't been any change in the balance of forces (no capture, no checker becoming a king) for 30 moves in 4 and 5 piece endings or 60 moves in 6 and 7 piece endings where both opponents have kings
• If a player with three checkers at the end of the game cannot capture the opponent's king located on the "high road" on move 5
• If players have made moves only with kings for 15 moves without moving simple checkers or capturing
• If the same position is repeated three or more times with the same arrangement of checkers and the turn of the move is consistently on the same side

International checkers 10×10

Move and capture rules:

• White starts the game
• Checkers move only on dark squares
• A checker must be captured if possible
• A checker can be hit both forward and backward
• The king moves and hits on any square of the diagonal
• Capturing follows the Turkish strike rule (an opponent's checker can be beaten only once in one move)
• The majority rule applies (the largest number of checkers must be taken when there are multiple capture options)
• If a simple checker in the process of capturing reaches the edge of the opponent's field and can continue capturing, it remains an ordinary checker
• If a simple checker reaches the edge of the opponent's field during a move or capturing, it becomes a king, ends the move, and follows the rules of a king on the next move
