**Review of Biblical and Systematic Theology**

Biblical and Systematic Theology is understood as a systematic, methodical, and hermeneutical discourse on the Christian faith that is lived out according to praxis in the Catholic Church. Despite the confessional nature of this theology, it does not oppose an understanding and ecumenical attitude that reside within its own discourse.

Biblical Systematic Theology draws on the conviction that the praxis lived out by the faith community in Jesus Christ is the access to the unique manifestation of God which constitutes the object of Christian theological reflection.

Theology would not be possible without the Word of God or the Revelation of God; therefore, it is more of a hermeneutic than dogmatic. The foundation of Systematic Theology passes through Tradition and, therefore, has a biblical character.

Systematic theology, which encompasses branches such as doctrinal theology, dogmatic theology, is the discipline of Christian theology that formulates an ordered, rational, and coherent description of Christian faith and beliefs. It gathers information extracted from theological research, organizes them into related areas, explains apparent contradictions, and thus provides a comprehensive system.

Systematic Theology is a discipline of Christian theology whose aim is to formulate a coherent, ordered, and rational presentation of Christian faith and beliefs inherent to a system of theological thought that develops with a method that can be applied both generally and specifically. Although systematic theology must take into account the sacred texts of its faith, it must also consider history, philosophy, science, and ethics.

Systematic theology is sometimes associated with Christian apologetics, which serves to defend the doctrine of the Christian confession at stake in the theological confrontation between different religions and heresies.

Traditionally, systematic theology is divided into the doctrine of the Word of God, the doctrine of God, the doctrine of Man, the doctrine of Christ, the doctrine of the Holy Spirit, the doctrine of Redemption, the doctrine of the Church, and the doctrine of the future; in this theology, Martin Luther can be mentioned as a principal representative.
