WHAT IS PIX?

PIX is Brazil's instant payment system, created by the Central Bank (Bacen), facilitating resource transfer between accounts within seconds, at any time of the day or week. Payments can be made through current accounts, savings accounts, or prepaid payment accounts.

PIX not only accelerates the speed of payments and transfers but also has the potential to:

DISTINCTION BETWEEN PIX AND OTHER PAYMENT MEANS

Traditional transfers in Brazil are limited to transactions between accounts within the same institution (simple transfers) or between different institutions (TED and DOC). PIX offers an additional option to consumers accustomed to these traditional methods.
