Bangladesh Government has decided to verify all mobile operator SIM cards in the biometric process. This initiative has seen significant success, with nearly 90% of mobile phone users re-registering their SIM cards using biometric data. However, there currently isn't a method to track the number of SIM cards registered under a specific National Identity (NID) user, leading to instances of fraud where individuals' IDs are misused to issue multiple SIM cards.

To address these concerns, an essential solution is now available. The Bangladeshi SIM Checker with NID/SIM Verification app offers users the ability to easily search and determine the total number of SIMs registered under a specific NID. The Biometric SIM Checker is a practical and effective tool that simplifies this process by requiring users to input the last four digits of their NID card, after which they will receive a notification via SMS detailing the number of biometrically registered SIM cards. The app is compatible with all major telecom operators in Bangladesh, including Grameenphone, Banglalink, Robi, Airtel, and Teletalk.

NOTE: Bangladeshi users are now allowed a maximum of 15 SIM cards per National Identity (NID) card. The Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) will randomly deactivate numbers after April 26, 2019, if any individual is found using more than 15 SIM cards with one NID. Customers are advised to deactivate any additional SIMs registered under their NID to avoid any inconveniences.
