Saud bin Ibrahim bin Muhammad Al-Shuraim, commonly known as Saud Al-Shuraim, is a prominent Quranic reciter from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, born in Riyadh in the year 1386 AH.

Sheikh Saud is regarded as a proficient reciter of the Holy Quran, following the Hafs an Asim narration. He memorized the Quran during his youth and dedicated much of his time to memorization and revision.

Currently, he serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Judicial Studies and Regulations at Umm Al-Qura University, as well as the Imam and preacher at the Grand Mosque in Mecca. He previously held the position of judge at the High Court in Mecca, having been appointed as a judge in 1413 AH and assigned to teach at the Grand Mosque in 1414 AH.

His early education began at Al-Areen School, followed by his middle school years at the Model School, and he graduated from Al-Yarmouk Comprehensive High School in 1404 AH. He then pursued higher studies at the College of Fundamentals of Religion at King Saud University in Riyadh, specializing in beliefs and contemporary sects, graduating in 1409 AH. Subsequently, he joined the Higher Judicial Institute in 1410 AH and earned a Master’s degree there in 1413 AH. He has learned from several esteemed scholars, including Sheikh Ibn Baz, Sheikh Ibn Jibreen (may Allah have mercy on them), Sheikh Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Aqeel, Sheikh Abdullah Al-Ghadyan, Sheikh Saleh Al-Fawzan, and Sheikh Fahd Al-Hassan, may Allah preserve those who remain among us.

Throughout his career, he has held various positions: in 1410 AH, he was appointed as an educator at the Higher Judicial Institute; in 1412 AH, he became an Imam and preacher at the Grand Mosque; in 1413 AH, he was appointed as a judge at the High Court in Mecca; in 1414 AH, he was tasked with teaching at the Grand Mosque; and finally, in 1416 AH, he dedicated himself to obtaining a doctorate at Umm Al-Qura University in Mecca.
