The LITURGY OF THE HOURS mobile application in Ukrainian offers a convenient and offline-accessible resource for users interested in liturgical texts. Designed without the need for internet connectivity, it provides a dependable tool for prayer and reflection at any time.

This application is based on the liturgical calendar available at credo-ua.org, developed by the catholic socio-religious publication CREDO (credo.pro). The project originated from a desire within prayer communities in Mukachevo to have ready access to liturgical readings and the divine office without internet dependence.

The current version is intentionally simplified to ensure compatibility across a wide range of smartphones and tablets operating on Android. The developers are actively working on enhancements, regularly updating and expanding the content. Users are encouraged to report any textual errors to facilitate continuous improvement.

The texts are sourced from reputable publications:

• The Liturgy of the Hours derives from credo.pro, based on the abbreviated edition of Liturgia Horarum of the Roman Rite, Kyiv 2007, published by the Conference of Catholic Bishops of Ukraine.
• The Catholic liturgical readings are taken from Lectionarium of Holy Liturgy of the Roman Rite, Lviv 1997.
• Biblical reflections have been authored by clergy and community members associated with CREDO, including Fathers Roman Laba OSPPE, Patrick Oliх OFM, Petro Oktaba OP, Valentin Matushevsky, Grigory Rassolenko, Jan M. Andrzejewski OP, Volodymyr Kusniezh, Oleg Salamon, and other contributors from the “Dabar” community.
• The saints’ calendar was compiled by Irina Yermak specifically for CREDO’s website.
