Safe Saint Petersburg is an application developed for the residents of the city, with the support of the Government of Saint Petersburg. This platform allows users to authenticate using a verified account from the Госуслуги portal.

The "Video Witness" feature is particularly noteworthy for individuals who may witness an incident, crime, or any suspicious activities. A video recorded through this application is automatically submitted to the city's surveillance system, which is accessible to law enforcement agencies in Saint Petersburg. The footage you provide can be instrumental in assisting authorities with their investigations into administrative or criminal cases, as well as in identifying suspects.

Additionally, the "Request Video" function enables users to determine whether an incident or crime has been captured within the coverage area of the city's surveillance cameras. Requested video clips are archived for a period of 15 days to prevent automatic deletion after 7 days. Users are advised to use the identifier of the created video archive when contacting law enforcement. Should law enforcement agencies request the material, it will be retained for up to 30 days from the receipt of the request.

The "Emergency Assistance" feature facilitates the generation of an SMS message for dispatch to the emergency services at "112." Reports of incidents are automatically supplemented with the current geographical coordinates of the mobile device, enabling swift responses from appropriate services.
