For Muslims, the Holy Book, the Quran, is the main book for believers and the embodiment of the main thoughts and provisions of Islam. Translated from Arabic, the word "Quran" means "recitation aloud" or "admonition."

When Prophet Muhammad was forty years old, he received the first revelation. This took place on the Night of Power, which falls in the month of Ramadan.

Over the next twenty-three years, the Sacred Book, the Quran, was transmitted through the angel Jibril to Prophet Muhammad, and it was later recorded by his companions based on his words.

The Quran consists of 114 chapters, each of which is made up of verses. The sequence in which the chapters are arranged in the Quran does not correspond to the chronological order in which they were transmitted through the angel Jibril - the verses were revealed to Prophet Muhammad at different places and times. The Messenger of Allah memorized these verses by heart and later compiled chapters from these verses. From the moment of revelation, their appearance has not changed; for fourteen centuries they have remained unchanged, with not a single sign or letter altered.
