Za Zakatom Neminuem Rassvet is an interactive novel produced by the indie studio Last Spring, known for the text adventure Tam, gde nas ne bylo.

PLOT

The enigmatic wanderer Viktor is forced to hide in a place called Rassvet, a settlement concealed within the Chazytchirska Valley behind the Sayan mountain range.

During the long Siberian winter, Rassvet becomes almost completely isolated from the outside world. This period makes it incredibly difficult to access... but even harder to escape.

Naturally, life in such a place is not as simple as Viktor had hoped. He had no idea what trials awaited him when he decided to travel to Rassvet.

GAMEPLAY

The gameplay is typical of visual novels, but it also incorporates simplified mechanics and greater variability from classic role-playing games.

• Constant presence of choice: Even seemingly insignificant decisions can influence the storyline. Conversely, some choices may have little impact.
• Character development direction: Players must choose how to develop the main character, which directly affects their gameplay style. The game features three primary skills: eloquence, physical shape, and perception.
• Relationship system: Interaction with key characters and the evolution of their storylines play a crucial role.
• Moral complexity: The main character's moral standing is influenced by their actions, affecting story variability (and even Viktor's past).
• Lively backgrounds and lighting: These elements enhance immersion into the atmosphere of the Siberian village.
• Simplistic mini-games: These are included to diversify the reading experience; however, none are mandatory for progression.
• Cinematic cutscenes: These provide a touch of cinematography to the narrative.

SETTING

The setting and atmosphere of Za Zakatom Neminuem Rassvet draw inspiration from westerns and neo-westerns. However, it takes place in Siberia in 2001, creating a distinct and somewhat nostalgic environment.

Throughout your journey, you will encounter breathtaking views of the winter and spring Sayan mountains, as well as hidden corners of an extraordinary village harboring many dark secrets.

SOUND AND SOUNDTRACK

The audio accompaniment consists of a diverse one-and-a-half-hour soundtrack (currently available), inspired by the works of great composers such as Ennio Morricone and Gustavo Santaolalla. Additionally, numerous sound effects have been integrated to enhance immersion.
