Meu Pré-natal 3.0.3

The mobile application My Prenatal was developed by the School of Medicine at UFMG. It is free, non-profit, and humanitarian. It provides reliable information on pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care, encouraging complementary care to prenatal consultations. UFMG SIEX Extension Project: 402465.

The main objective is to promote health information and maternal autonomy so that women can be protagonists of their childbirth. Targeted to support women during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum, the innovations will allow expectant mothers to share their desires and expectations for childbirth through the implementation and sharing of a Digital Birth Plan.

Features and functionalities:

• Track your pregnancy and know your gestational age at any time using the gestogram.
• Get answers to your questions about pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum.
• Know what to pack for the maternity ward, both for the mother and the baby.
• Watch videos with tips and useful information for pregnant women.
• Plan your childbirth and record your preferences in the birth plan to share with your healthcare team during prenatal appointments and at the maternity ward.
• Use the contraction counter to know when labor is approaching.

Birth Plan:

It's a record where you specify how you prefer the birth to happen, who you would like as your companion, and what you expect from the postpartum period. It's an excellent way to learn about options and express your preferences for yourself and your baby. Discuss your options with the healthcare professional in charge of your prenatal care and participate in educational groups.

The My Prenatal app was created by a team coordinated by the Center for Health Informatics at the School of Medicine at UFMG, Brazil. It is free and non-profit. Registered in this University's Extension Information System under number 402465. The stage involving the development, testing, and validation of the Birth Plan was approved by the UFMG ethics committee with registration on the Brazil Platform CAAE-68076617.2.0000.514. The app's intellectual property is deposited at the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) since October 2016, under identification BR 51 2016 0013141. Supported by the scientific study Light Scan Skin-age, which seeks to evaluate new technologies to estimate gestational age, sponsored by funds from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and FAPEMIG, Minas Gerais, Brazil.
