The «ProTransport+» mobile application is designed for contactless fare payment on suburban trains, utilizing geolocation technology to streamline the travel experience.

With the implementation of the innovative Open Loop payment method, a single tap replaces multiple steps traditionally required when purchasing tickets through other apps or websites. Route planning, data entry, selection of payment method, and ticket generation are all consolidated into one seamless click.

To travel using «ProTransport+», users simply approach the designated sensors located at stations or train platforms, open the application, and press the «Start Trip» button. The fare is automatically authorized on the linked bank card and is only deducted upon pressing «End Trip». Advanced geolocation capabilities enable the app to automatically detect the start and end points of each journey, enhancing user convenience.

Through the Open Loop technology, a bank card effectively functions as a travel ticket; users need only to link their card to the app and enjoy hassle-free travel without queues or additional ticketing procedures.

The profile menu in «ProTransport+» includes a «Benefits» section – eligible students with verified rights to discounted fares can pay reduced fares within the Republic of Tatarstan on the Kazan-Pass — Kazan Airport route and in Nizhny Novgorod region on the Nizhny Novgorod (Moscow Station) — Mokhovye Gory route.

To purchase a discounted student train ticket via the application, users must:

• Access the «Profile» section;
• Navigate to the «Benefits» subsection;
• Enter their SNILS number and date of birth;
• Once verified, the available discount type will be displayed in the «Benefits» section.

«ProTransport+» is currently available to passengers in three regions: in the Republic of Tatarstan on the Kazan-Pass — Kazan Airport route; in Kaliningrad Region on the Kaliningrad-Yuzhny — Zelenogradsk-Novy route; and in Nizhny Novgorod Region on the Nizhny Novgorod (Moscow Station) — Mokhovye Gory route.
