Control your Sharp Aquos TV LC-xxLE via Wi-Fi with this specialized application. Compatibility is limited to TV models that include "LE" in their model name, so please refer to the compatibility section below for more information.

Features

• The application allows users to create and customize a list of favorite TV channels, where you can define the displayed name for each channel. Channels can be activated with a single touch, and the list can be edited on a PC as well.
• It supports essential remote control functions such as volume adjustment, channel navigation, and video text activation.
• The application has the capability to automatically activate the Sleep Timer on your TV.
• It provides real-time information from the TV, including details about the active channel and whether the TV is muted.

This application is free of advertisements and does not access your contacts or location data. Currently, it is available in English and German, with English as the default language if your smartphone’s language is unsupported.

Configuration

Your TV must be connected to the same router or network via Wi-Fi or Ethernet as your smartphone. Enable IP-Control on your TV and configure its IP address in the application settings.

To enable IP-Control, navigate through your TV's menu: Menu -> Setup -> Network Settings -> IP-Control-Setup. You can find your TV's IP address by going to Menu -> Setup -> Network Settings -> IP-Setup. To avoid changing IP addresses whenever you power on your TV, consider assigning a fixed IP address in your router settings.

To utilize the application for powering on your TV, ensure that the “Fast Start” function is activated in your TV’s configuration.

Troubleshooting

• Issue: The app indicates "connected," but no other features work.
  Potential Reason: The IP Control Module of the TV may be engaged with another app or session or may have encountered an error.
  Solution: Turn off the TV and unplug it for a few seconds before reconnecting it. Restart the app after power-up.
• Issue: The app does not indicate "connected," and other functions are unresponsive.
  Potential Reason: Mismatch in IP address or port settings between the TV and app.
  Solution: Follow the configuration steps provided above.
  Potential Reason: Your TV may not support IP Control.
  Solution: In this case, an alternative application may be necessary; see the compatibility section below.

Compatibility with Your TV

This application is compatible only with TV models that feature IP Control functionality. You can verify this by checking for a section titled "PC control of the TV" in your user manual; there should be command listings such as "POWR0" for powering off the television.

App Permissions

• Storage: Read, modify, or delete contents from USB storage to facilitate channel list import/export.
• Photos/Media/Files: Similar permissions apply as for storage; no access to personal photos or media is made by the app.
• <emWi-Fi Connection Information: Access to Wi-Fi connection information for displaying Wi-Fi status.
• Other: Full network access is required for communication with your TV.
