All RFID-tagged whiskies distributed in South Korea can have their distribution history and authenticity verified. Since October 2012, all retail outlets handling whiskey nationwide are required to purchase and sell only products with RFID tags. Furthermore, as of January 2013, establishments serving whiskey must provide verification devices for customers who request authenticity checks (National Tax Agency Notice No. 2011-17).

1. Provided Services
The "Whiskey Authenticity Checker" supplied by Bonabank Co., Ltd., connects to smartphones via Bluetooth to read the RFID tag attached to whiskey bottles. This device can confirm the product name, retailer name, volume, production date, intended use, wholesale shipping date, and authenticity status.

2. Usage Instructions
① Search for and install the “Whiskey Authenticity Checker” application.
② Click "Start" → Automatically connect to Bluetooth reader → Retrieve product information.
③ Product inquiry (first recognition of whiskey RFID tag): Review distribution history.
④ Authenticity verification (second recognition of whiskey RFID tag): Confirm authenticity.
※ The initial connection may take about 15-20 seconds due to RFID device searching and pairing.

3. Error Messages
① If an unregistered RFID tag in the National Tax Agency's liquor distribution information system is detected, a message stating “Cannot verify - Unregistered tag” will be displayed.
② Using an unregistered “Whiskey Authenticity Checker” will prompt the message “Cannot verify - Unregistered dongle.” In this case, please contact customer support.
