Smart WeTax offers a service that allows users to view and pay local taxes and other surcharges on mobile devices.

To use the service, a digital certificate (formerly known as a public certificate) is required. Users can obtain the certificate from the Authentication Center and use it on their smartphones.

Before using the service, users need to follow these preparation steps:

• If you are already a member of WeTax, you can use the Smart WeTax app to import your certificate by going to [Authentication Center] - [Import Certificate] and following the instructions. After logging in, you can view and pay the taxes and surcharges that have been notified to you.
• If you are not a member of WeTax, please sign up through the "Membership Registration" menu and then use the service.
• If registering for WeTax membership is difficult for you, you can use the service without registration or login by selecting [Search by Electronic Payment Number] and entering the number from your tax notice. This way, you can pay the corresponding tax or surcharge.
• The Smart WeTax app requires Android version 5.0 or higher. Please update your OS version in order to use the service.

Here is an explanation of each menu available in the app:

• Local Taxes and Surcharges: Allows users to view their unpaid taxes and surcharges and make payments.
• Search by Electronic Payment Number (or input field on the main screen): Allows users to search for their local taxes and surcharges by entering the electronic payment number without logging in.
• Payment Results: Provides a way to view electronic payment records through WeTax, Internet Ziro, CD/ATM, Internet banking, and card payments.
• Electronic Delivery: Notifies users that their regular local tax notices have been electronically delivered to their inbox and provides electronic notification.
• Refund: Allows users to check if they are eligible for a refund for local taxes and surcharges, as well as the application details and outcome.
• Water and Sewer Fees: Provides a way to view unpaid water and sewer fees using the electronic customer number and make payments.
• Registration Tax (Registration Section) Declaration: Allows users to fill out taxpayer information, item information, tax information, and amount information to declare their registration tax.
• Automatic Payment: Allows users to apply for automatic payment of registration tax (license), vehicle tax, property tax, and resident tax through bank accounts or credit cards.
• Automatic Vehicle Tax Annual Payment Application: Users can receive a 10% discount for paying their annual vehicle tax upfront (as of January).

Regarding access permissions:

• Select Access Permissions:
• • Camera: Required for document verification purposes such as viewing receipts and issued documents.
• Required Access Permissions:
• • Files and Media: Required for access to files and managing digital certificates.

Please note that even if you do not agree to the optional access permissions, you can still use the service except for the functions that require those permissions.
