"Panda SMS Eater" uses the Core ML machine learning framework to filter spam messages offline on the device. It accurately identifies spam messages through semantic recognition, without the need for manual configuration of any filtering rules. It is ready to use out of the box.

We highly value your privacy and take action (not just verbal promises) to ensure it. Panda SMS Eater is a very rare fully offline app that does not even request internet permissions (until you voluntarily report spam messages to us). We rely on a large user community to actively report spam messages to build our machine learning sample library.

Collective Intelligence

Panda SMS Eater learns from hundreds of thousands of various message samples using statistics-based machine learning algorithms. Users do not need to configure any keywords, as it can accurately determine whether received messages are normal, public service, or advertising spam based on the semantic features of the messages.

If Panda makes a judgment mistake, users can help Panda evolve by feeding new message samples within the app. The more it is fed, the smarter it becomes.

Why Did I Create "Panda SMS Eater"?

I used to be troubled by spam messages until the release of the SMS filtering interface in iOS 11. As an engineer in the data field, I exported tens of thousands of messages I received over the years and used machine learning to train a model for identifying spam messages. This led to the inception of this app. During subsequent development, many enthusiastic users contributed hundreds of thousands of message samples, teaching Panda to recognize even more diverse scenarios.

Privacy Policy: What Information Does Panda Collect?

"Panda SMS Eater" does not collect any of your information nor upload your message content. If you pay close attention, you will notice that Panda does not even request internet permissions as it operates completely offline.

If you voluntarily submit message samples to Panda, it collects the desensitized message text and a numerical label indicating whether it is spam or not. These are the only two pieces of data collected.
