If photos of your city or street are not available on Yandex Maps, you can add them yourself using the People's Map app.

Your photos will help people navigate the city. For example, if there's an obstacle in the photo, mothers with strollers and people with limited mobility will learn about the poor road condition and be able to change their route ahead of time. Based on the images, cartographers will update Yandex Maps with missing information such as pedestrian crossings, traffic lights, or organizations.

You can take pictures of the city when walking, cycling, or driving – even in the background.

Each snapshot takes between 300 and 500 KB, and if your phone runs out of space, the shooting will stop. Photos will be deleted from your phone as soon as you send them through the app.
