Korney Ivanovich Chukovsky was a Russian Soviet poet, translator, literary critic, children's writer, and journalist.

In 1916, Chukovsky compiled the collection "New Year Tree" and wrote his first fairy tale in verse for children, "Crocodile". In 1923, his famous poems for children, "Moidodyr" and "Cockroach", were published. Chukovsky also had another passion in life - studying children's psychology and how they acquire speech. He recorded his observations of children, their verbal creativity, in the book "From Two to Five" in 1933. Chukovsky once said, "All my other works are so overshadowed by my children's poems and fairy tales that many readers think I haven't written anything else at all."

An audiobook is a fictional or educational work, usually read by a person (such as a professional actor) or a group of people and recorded on any sound carrier. Audiobooks can be considered a variation of a radio play (radio production).
