K&H Bank's Account Opening application allows you to open an online bank account quickly and easily, anytime, anywhere.

To proceed with online account opening, you will need a valid ID card, passport, residence card or foreign address verification document, stable internet connection, a camera-equipped phone with live phone number, and an email address.

During the online account opening process, remote (indirect) customer identification is performed without a video call.

Photos of your documents are taken, their authenticity is verified using security elements. Besides a selfie, a video of you is also captured to prevent misuse of your identity. Declarations and contracts are electronically provided for your convenience.

If we can successfully read your data using NFC (requires an NFC-enabled phone and document), you can open an online bank account without limitations. At the end of the process, your live bank account and digitalized bank card become instantly available, allowing you to make immediate payments using K&H Apple Pay with just a few clicks.

Your physical bank card will be sent by mail after account opening, and you can retrieve the associated PIN code from the K&H mobile banking app.

K&H mobile banking and K&H e-banking are readily available for use; your newly entered contracts can be accessed through the K&H e-banking interface.

With the K&H Convenience Plus package, you can use your online account without package fees for 3 months. After this period, we will suggest an account package that best suits your account management and transaction habits during that time.

Hungarian citizens over 18 years of age who are not considered prominent public figures or U.S. tax residents can open an account online.

If your data cannot be read via NFC:

• You can still use your account with the following restrictions until unlocked through video identification at a K&H branch or Telecenter:
  • No transactions exceeding 10 million HUF
  • A maximum cash withdrawal limit of 300 thousand HUF per month (total for card transactions, ATMs, in-branch or postal cash withdrawals)
  • No cash deposits allowed
  • Only domestic HUF transfers can be initiated and received

The online account opening process takes only a few minutes with very simple steps:

• Download the K&H Account Opening app
• Provide contact details
• Take photos of documents and selfies
• Verify personal information
• Submit declarations
• Create a PIN code for digital transactions
• Sign framework agreement
• Complete customer recognition questionnaire
• Sign account and bank card contracts
• Download and activate K&H mobile banking app

Technical requirements:

• K&H Account Opening app - iPhone 5s or newer device with at least iOS 13.0 operating system
• K&H mobile banking - iPhone 5s or newer device with at least iOS 13.0 operating system
