What is eBagupay?

eBagupay is a local currency issued by the Dong-gu district in Busan to stimulate local economic activities. It operates as a rechargeable prepaid card, available for application to anyone aged 14 and above for use within Dong-gu. To further encourage local economic revitalization, users are provided with incentives upon recharging, and it serves as a means to distribute welfare allowances to Dong-gu residents.

Convenient Card-Based Local Currency: Application and Usage of eBagupay Card

• Users can apply for the card directly through the app without the need for complex bank account setups or visits to brick-and-mortar locations.
• The issued card allows for convenient recharging via the mobile app at any time and location.
• Payments can be easily made at all affiliated merchants within Dong-gu using the card.
• Transaction history is easily accessible through the app.

* To enhance the competitiveness of small businesses, use at department stores, large supermarkets, and certain other sectors may be restricted.

Incentives upon Recharge

• There are additional incentives provided based on the amount recharged.
• The incentive amount can be used like cash during payments.

Policy Issuance Card Utilization

If you are a beneficiary of Dong-gu’s welfare policies, policy issuance funds will be distributed through eBagupay.

30% Income Tax Deduction Similar to Debit Cards

• By agreeing to the year-end tax settlement terms during membership registration or by accepting the automatic income deduction application pop-up or ‘All Menus > Income Deduction Application,’ tax deduction benefits are applied upon card registration. (If a card is already registered, benefits are retroactively applicable from the registration point.)
