DPIP (Disaster Prevention Information Platform) is an application designed by a local Taiwanese team, integrating real-time earthquake alerts and information from TREM (Taiwan Real-time Earthquake Monitoring Network) with data from the Central Weather Bureau. This platform aims to provide a consolidated and user-friendly resource for disaster prevention information.

It is worth noting that the application is currently in testing phases, and some information or features may contain errors. Users are encouraged to participate in the public testing to access the latest versions. For accurate information, please refer to announcements from the Ministry of Transportation and Communications’ Central Weather Bureau.

The Earthquake Early Warning (EEW) system utilizes seismic wave observation stations to detect earthquakes and relay data to a server for real-time analysis, providing alerts that may give individuals crucial seconds or even minutes to enact disaster response and evacuation measures.
