Review of A-dot Call Recording App

The A-dot app provides a key feature of automatic call recording for users who have set it up through A-dot Phone, including the option for manual recording. This functionality is available for Samsung smartphones compatible with self-provided plans as well as those from KT and LGU+ companies, provided that both A-dot Phone and the A-dot Call Recording app are installed.

However, to ensure optimal operation, users must maintain the following settings:

1. All required permissions must be granted. (If even one permission is denied, call recording will not be possible.)
2. A-dot Phone must be designated as the default phone application.

Required Permissions for the A-dot Call Recording App

• Mandatory Access Rights
  • Microphone: Used for call recording (excluding built-in A-dot Phone).
  • Music & Audio: Used for saving call recording files.
• Optional Access Rights
  • Notifications: Used for displaying the status of ongoing call recordings.

It is important to note that optional permissions require user approval for specific features; nonetheless, other services can still be accessed without granting these permissions.

The app is designed for devices running Android 9.0 and above. Users with devices below this version will be unable to utilize the recording feature. An upgrade to Android 10.0 or higher is recommended after consulting with the device manufacturer.
