  • Composition of English Essential Expressions - 1000 Sentences Breakdown App:
  • Pattern 500A: Lesson 1 - Lesson 20
  • Pattern 500B: Lesson 21 - Lesson 43
  • Application 500: Lesson 1 - Lesson 30 (Total Lessons)
  • (Patterns Dialogue, Application Dialogue)
  • Using this app to effectively study Patterns 500 and Application 500:

The course "English Essential Expressions -1000 Sentences Breakdown" has led numerous international students and English conversation learners to successful English learning. Currently, thousands of exchange students and immigrant workers in Vancouver and Toronto continue to boldly dive into the world of English by taking these lectures.

This guide presents the quickest shortcut to break down Broken and Konglish in one go.

Each app includes audio lectures explaining the sentences, so the app size is around 350-500 MB. To avoid Wi-Fi or data usage, we have included all data in the app.

  • The Pattern 500 and Application 500 consist of a total of around 1000 sentences, including the skeleton sentences (500) that can be used the most in practical settings and applied expressions (500) appropriate for real-life communication.

Observing the study habits of students so far, the most efficient way to study is as follows:

  1. Listen to audio lectures for each lesson under "Lecture" section first before listening to each lesson separately.
  1. If you understand through audio lectures, listen to each sentence repeating at least 12 times under "Repeat" menu. It is not easy memorizing a lesson a day, so regulate your learning by setting a proper amount to memorize consistently.
  1. It is crucial to practice the Repeating exercise that repeats at least 12 times every day. The amount should always cover five lessons. For example, if you are studying Lesson 10 today, start by repeating from Lesson 6 to Lesson 10. The next day if you are studying Lesson 11, repeat from Lesson 7 up to Lesson 11. This pattern continues changing accordingly.
  1. You must repeat each sentence at least over 300 times. Most linguists claim that a single sentence needs repeating over 300 times for it to be completely internalized in your mind.
  1. A test menu is provided for making sure the sentences are completely internalized. By selecting the range under Test menu and pressing Start button, sentences within the selected lesson will be presented randomly in Korean before appearing in English after a set period. You should be able to say those sentences in English before they appear each time. Practice whenever you find spare time.
  1. Finishing Pattern up until Lesson number 43 doesn't mean you can stop there. Now set every sentence matching three times only and listen to the full Pattern every day. It takes about 75 minutes each for listening through both Pattern and Application. Through this method, fully internalize the core structures encapsulating these specific patterns over six months by repeating daily.
  1. If continuing with Application studies after completing Pattern learning, it is essential to keep repeating full Pattern three times daily during Application study sessions as mentioned in step six.
If you move directly from Pattern learning to Application study without a break:
  • The completion of both Patterns and Applications following the above method would take around one year. Students who invest daily one to two hours following this method have all been successful.
  • How to Truly Excel at English:
During English lectures, I have received countless questions on how one can excel at English. I always emphasized never creating sentences that should fit into a mold; just memorize them instead. The synchronicity between Korean and English is just over forty percent. If you consider what Google Translate produces, you'll understand. It means even if someone has flawless grammar skills, translating their Korean thoughts directly into English will likely not result in proper English over forty percent of the time due to extreme differences between Korean and English language structures. All successful domestic learners who have become proficient at English resonate with this approach: they never created sentences that should fit into a structure; instead, they just inherited them. Much like other Korean learners of English, almost everyone makes this mistake. Even overseas language students who came on academic exchanges to Canada or the United States commit this error repeatedly. They eventually return home having barely memorized some basic sentences including their self-introduction because they felt these were sufficient without bothering to learn more sentences. When things seem relatively understandable yet you avoid memorizing necessary sentences further, you reach a plateau where progress halts completely. Your language is inherited; it's not crafted anew from scratch. Just memorize the topmost used one thousand sentences by native English speakers; your proficiency will change drastically. But remember to memorize using your tongue rather than your head. Our minds possess a mechanism of oblivion; if we don't repeat what we learn today continuously our heads often forget it by tomorrow. However, trust your tongue; consistent repetition will eventually bring forth several utterances swiftly without needing much thought process. Not mastering every sentence in this manner implies you can never truly excel at English. For complete internalization of a single sentence within yourself requires repetition on average over three hundred times—that's what most linguists universally advocate. Every tactic needed for achieving this as well as sentences are embedded within this app. Author Malcolm Kim Dreams
