Two thousand five hundred years ago, the esteemed teacher, the Buddha, was born. Throughout his life, he gained profound insights into nature and the pursuit of truth. He selflessly shared these realizations with humanity, offering hope and illumination to those engulfed in darkness and suffering.

The "Chinese Translation of the Pali Canon" consists of three main sections: the Vinaya Pitaka, the Sutta Pitaka, and the Abhidhamma Pitaka.

• The Vinaya Pitaka contains the precepts, teachings, and guidelines established by the Buddha for his disciples. It comprises 19 chapters that explore the rules in various contexts. As the first collection of the Canon, the Vinaya is essential for all bhikkhus and bhikkhunis to study diligently and adhere to in their practice.
• The Sutta Pitaka is a compilation of discourses delivered by the Buddha and his noble disciples. It is divided into five sections: the Digha Nikaya (Long Discourses), the Majjhima Nikaya (Middle-length Discourses), the Samyutta Nikaya (Connected Discourses), the Anguttara Nikaya (Numerical Discourses), and the Khuddaka Nikaya (Minor Collection).
• The Abhidhamma Pitaka, commonly referred to as Abhidharma, represents a sophisticated analysis of concepts within Buddhism. The term "Abhidharma" signifies "superior law," where "abhi" denotes excellence and "dharma" refers to law or truth. It includes seven texts: the Dhammasangani, Vibhanga, Dhatukatha, Puggala-Paññatti, Kathavatthu, Yamaka, and Puggala-Vatthu.
