The "National Sign Language Dictionary" app offers a unique approach to learning sign language through video content.

This application was recognized in 2020 by the National Press and Publication Administration as part of its curated list of high-quality digital publications. It serves as a vital resource for individuals with hearing impairments, their advocates, and those interested in learning sign language.

 <li>Integration of Classics: Includes the newly revised “Chinese Finger Spelling Scheme” published by the Ministry of Education, the National Language Commission, and the China Disabled Persons' Federation, along with the sign language version of the national anthem of the People's Republic of China.</li>
 <li>Comprehensive Vocabulary: Contains 8,214 commonly used signs derived from the daily life and education of people with hearing impairments, organized according to pinyin order.</li>
 <li>Cultural Continuity: Preserves established signs that have been conventionally used by the hearing-impaired community while discarding outdated terms and modifying expressions that do not align with their communication habits. The app also incorporates numerous new terms to maintain relevance with linguistic standards and societal developments.</li>
 <li>Grammar Insights: Features an appendix detailing sign language grammatical characteristics, developed by a dedicated research team to assist users in accurately expressing signs within sentences.</li>
 <li>Diverse Search Options: Provides a pinyin index and a stroke count index for ease of use.</li>

This dictionary is an updated compilation based on the revised edition of “Chinese Sign Language” and is aligned with the standard set forth in the "Commonly Used Signs in National Sign Language." The resource was collaboratively developed by the China Disabled Persons' Federation, the China Deaf Association, and the National Research Center for Sign Language and Braille, with publication support from Huaxia Publishing House and Haidi's official release.

The promotion of national sign language aligns with the directive from the 19th National Congress, emphasizing a people-centered approach. This initiative not only upholds the linguistic rights of individuals with hearing impairments but also plays a crucial role in enhancing their access to cultural education, information exchange, social interactions, and equitable participation in society.
