Currently available fuel types automatically: E5, E10, Diesel (data via MTS-K) and additionally Compressed Natural Gas/Methane (CNG).

User data maintenance, i.e., no automatically updated prices: SuperPlus 98, Autogas/Liquid Gas (LPG).

Data protection and transparency: NO DATA TRACKING for data service providers. In compliance with the GDPR, unlike other online fuel price comparison services, we have rethought the data flows in Spritmelder and decided not to integrate third-party tracking programs for motion data. We have terminated a field trial with a relevant provider and removed the corresponding program libraries from Spritmelder version 2.4.2. Even if you have previously consented to the use of your motion data, they will no longer be collected upon installing the new version. While we still collect some of your (anonymous) usage data, these are for enhancing our app and will not be shared with third parties. Feel free to read other service providers' privacy policies before choosing us.

How does it work?

The fuel prices are reported by gas stations to the Federal Cartel Office (Market Transparency Unit). As an official partner of the Market Transparency Unit for Fuels (MTS-K), we have real-time access to the fuel prices provided there (currently E5, E10, Diesel) from approximately 14,500 German gas stations and make them available to you via our mobile app. Based on our observations, the data quality is very good; however, in case of discrepancies, the displayed gasoline prices at the gas station apply. In such cases, you can use our mobile app to report to the Federal Cartel Office. We also receive prices for CNG (Bio-Methane/Natural Gas). Since these tend to be relatively stable, they are updated once daily in Spritmelder. The app lists the standard kg prices for CNG.

For Autogas or LPG, prices are only available if other users have provided them! Please do not confuse LPG with CNG. Currently, we only have automatically imported prices for CNG in Spritmelder. LPG prices are only shared by attentive users.
