Biophilia is an innovative and captivating multimedia project created by renowned musician Björk. It seamlessly combines music, nature, and technology to create a truly immersive experience. The project consists of a suite of original music accompanied by interactive artworks and musical artifacts, all accessible through ten in-app experiences. These experiences are navigated within a mesmerizing three-dimensional galaxy that reflects the theme song of the album - Cosmogony.

• The album features interactive experiences for all its songs: Crystalline, Virus, Moon, Thunderbolt, Sacrifice, Mutual Core, Hollow, Solstice, and Dark Matter.

Björk has collaborated with a diverse array of artists, designers, scientists, instrument makers, writers, and software developers to craft this extraordinary exploration of the universe and its natural phenomena. The inspiration behind each in-app experience lies in the intricate connections between musical structures and various elements of nature - from the microscopic to the cosmic. Biophilia offers users the opportunity to engage with music creation and education while also indulging in Björk's unique musical style.

Upon launching the app, users are greeted by a visually stunning three-dimensional galaxy. A compass allows easy navigation between this captivating universe and a two-dimensional track list. By tapping on stars within constellations, users can access in-app purchases corresponding to each Björk song. These purchases offer a rich combination of interactive art and games, music notation for karaoke-style singing along, abstract animations, lyrics, and insightful essays detailing Björk's inspirations behind each track. All these elements intertwine traditional and alternative forms of music representation to provide an environment that fosters both entertainment and knowledge acquisition. Biophilia revolutionizes our perception of music by fully exploiting the multimedia capabilities of interactive mobile technologies.

Björk spearheaded the development of Biophilia alongside interactive artist and app developer Scott Snibbe, as well as her longtime design collaborators, M/M Paris. Furthermore, the individual apps within Biophilia were created through collaborations with Luc Barthelet, Drew Berry, Kodama Studios, Stephen Malinowski, Scott Snibbe Studio, John Simon Jr., Touch Press, and Max Weisel.
