The "Central Weather Bureau E-Earthquake Reporting" app aims to leverage the increasingly widespread mobile internet communication to proactively distribute earthquake-related information to users' handheld devices. This capability is intended to significantly reduce the time required for notifications, thereby enhancing response efficiency post-earthquake. The main features are as follows:

• Real-Time Strong Earthquake Alerts: Upon receiving an immediate strong earthquake alert, the app utilizes the mobile device's GPS location or user-defined parameters to perform rapid calculations, subsequently issuing auditory, textual, or visual alerts.
• Significant Earthquake Report Notifications: After receiving earthquake reports, the app displays key information in a clear and visually engaging format, including the time of occurrence, epicenter location (longitude and latitude), magnitude, depth, and intensity across different areas.
• Tsunami Information Notifications: Following reception of tsunami notifications, the app presents earthquake data and estimated tsunami wave arrival times and heights for regions along Taiwan’s tsunami warning zones in a straightforward and informative manner.
• Historical Earthquake Queries: The app offers functionalities for querying historical earthquake reports, global earthquakes, and Pacific tsunamis. It features a user-friendly interface that consolidates information in an organized manner with options to set search criteria such as region, city, time, magnitude, and intensity.
• Earthquake Activity Visualization: Users can view 3D animations of seismic activity in Taiwan over specified time intervals (up to three months), with customizable playback speed, viewing angles, and distances. This allows users to gain insights into the temporal and spatial distribution of earthquakes in Taiwan.
