The Kumamoto Health App "Motto Kenko! Genki! Up Kumamoto" is a health promotion application that incentivizes users through a points-based system. By engaging in daily activities such as walking, users earn points which can then be redeemed for benefits at participating stores and facilities.

The app's primary objective is to encourage individuals within designated municipalities to adopt healthier lifestyles, thereby contributing to the improvement of community health and the extension of healthy life expectancy.

Participating Municipalities: Kumamoto City, Tamana City, Yamaga City, Kikuchi City, Uto City, Uki City, Aso City, Misato Town, Tamtō Town, Nankan Town, Mizukui Town, Ozu Town, Takaoka Town, Nishihara Village, Minamiaso Village, Mifune Town, Kasha Town, Mashiki Town, Kosa Town, Yamato Town, Kuma Village, Amakusa City, Reihoku Town.

1. Group Activities for Earning Points: Users can form groups with friends, family, or colleagues to engage in friendly competition. Participation in group challenges offers opportunities to win attractive prizes.
2. Redeeming Points for Benefits: Upon accumulating a certain number of points, users receive a "Genki! Up Card," which can be presented at participating stores to enjoy special services or enter prize draws.
3. Health Checkups and Event Participation: Completing specified missions like health examinations and event attendance allows users to earn additional points and enjoy exclusive rewards.
4. Integration with Wearable Devices: Users owning Bluetooth-enabled wearables compatible with Google Fit or Health Connect can synchronize their step counts and other health data directly into the app via these platforms.

Note: Step data sourced from Google Fit or Health Connect will be used in the app. If users have not previously used Google Fit with 'Google Play Services,' step data may only be available from the installation date onwards. Device sensitivity for step detection varies across hardware; some devices may not record steps accurately. To use Health Connect data integration, the corresponding app must be installed. Users should ensure that step data from Google Fit is linked to Health Connect when applicable. Compliance with the Health Connect usage policies, including restrictions on data sharing, is required. Starting June 2, 2025, full migration to the Health Connect integration will occur. Users currently using Google Fit through supported apps will need to reconfigure settings to continue accurate data collection. Some devices without SIM cards or tablets are not compatible.

• Clearing the app's cache and data may resolve these issues. To do so:
• Navigate to [Settings] > [Apps] > [Motto Kenko! Genki! Up Kumamoto], then select "Clear Cache" and "Clear Data".
• Alternatively: [Settings] > [Apps] > [Motto Kenko! Genki! Up Kumamoto] > [Storage], then tap "Clear Cache" and "Clear Data".
• Or: In [Settings] > [Storage], select [Motto Kenko! Genki! Up Kumamoto], then choose "Clear Cache" and "Clear Data".
