FONTÉ's story begins in 1992 in the Pacific Northwest coffee capital of the world — Seattle, WA. Founder and owner Paul Odom initiated the establishment of Fonté Coffee Roaster, deriving its name from the Italian term for source. The aim is to guide coffee enthusiasts in preparing the freshest cup of coffee.

• HAND ROASTED. While certain methods of digital control offer efficiency in coffee roasting, they often lack the nuanced approach necessitated by diverse coffee conditions and characteristics. Fonté upholds elevated standards through meticulous hand-roasting of each batch, curating specialty beans to their optimal flavor profile and fullest expression.
• FRESH ROASTED. Acknowledging the time-sensitive nature of coffee beans, Fonté has introduced a bespoke roast program. By shipping freshly roasted coffee in packaging equipped with one-way freshness valves, we ensure premium quality upon delivery.

UPTOWN ESPRESSO, rooted in Seattle since 1984 at the base of historic Queen Anne Hill, swiftly became a trailblazer in the burgeoning local coffee culture. Uptown garnered a dedicated following of refined coffee connoisseurs enchanted by a distinctive ambiance created by expert baristas, exclusive coffee blends, artisanal baked goods, an inviting setting, and a unique offering known as Velvet Foam. Following Dow Lucurell's passing in July 2018, Paul Odom — owner of Fonté Coffee Roaster — assumed ownership of Uptown Espresso. Presently operating 6 locations in Seattle, Uptown Espresso preserves an unwavering dedication to meticulousness and unwavering quality.
