Hero Altar 2 is a fusion of MUD (Multi-User Dungeon) elements in an open storyline martial arts RPG (Role Play Game). Due to inadvertently triggering the ancient continent's Hero Altar space-time conversion device, you are transported to a mysterious land in the East, where the story unfolds. Unlike traditional RPGs and MUDs, the completely open game structure makes you truly the master of the game's purpose: you can decide your life here entirely according to your personal preferences, whether it be diligently practicing martial arts, punishing evil, or even resorting to villainy; or simply do nothing but wander aimlessly and pass the time. Everything is in your hands. However, since you came here to counter the invasion of dark forces, your sole mission is to eliminate them all! The road ahead is perilous; without exceptional martial arts skills, let alone eradicating evil, you might end up "dying before achieving."

At the beginning of the game, players are set at the age of fourteen and can set their gender and attributes according to their preferences. Then, you appear in the central location of this land - the peaceful town. Even though it's a virtual world, it still keeps basic elements of the real world. Here, your age will gradually increase; you will feel thirsty and hungry and need money to survive. The NPCs (Non-Player-Characters) here live seemingly peaceful lives; will your presence change their lives? Perhaps only you will know. Unlike traditional RPGs, there is no mandatory overarching storyline in this virtual world; you can entirely determine your life here according to your personal preferences. You can diligently practice martial arts, punish evil, or even resort to villainy; or just wander around aimlessly and pass time. It's all up to you. Of course, being in this realm, it wouldn't hurt to learn some martial arts. Additionally, there are rumors from people in this realm that the ruler of this land, King Jinyuanjian Dynasty, will send out agents of rewards and punishments, convene a martial arts conference; achieving fame during this event is indeed a great achievement in life.
