New Translation in Today's Language (NTLH): This translation, prepared by the Brazilian Bible Society (2000), follows the principles of dynamic equivalence translation, staying faithful to the original texts (in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek).

The version was developed by the Translation Committee of the Brazilian Bible Society, in a process that took 12 years of research, aiming to keep the text as close in meaning to the original texts - Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek. NTLH is a revision of the Bible in Today's Language, launched in 1988. However, it underwent such a deep revision that it is considered by the SBB itself as a new translation of the Holy Scriptures.

In addition to being a dynamic translation, the Bible in Today's Language is also a translation in "common language." It does not aim to be simple language (although it ends up being so too), but rather the language that is common to most Portuguese speakers in Brazil today.

Above all, the Translation in Today's Language was made not for church leaders and pastors but for people who do not have the habit of reading and who have had little or no contact with the Bible. It is an ideal tool for evangelization.
