This application transforms your iPhone into a versatile remote control, supporting a wide range of electronic devices. Please note that it is a free version available exclusively to users with the IR Bling Bling module and a valid serial number. For those without this module, purchasing the same-named paid application grants access to the event period, during which the module is shipped free via mail.

Supported device categories include TV, air conditioners, VCRs, DVDs, cable, and satellite TV. The app supports over 20 brands, including Samsung, LG, Daewoo, as well as Japanese, American, and Chinese manufacturers—covering both domestic and export models. Users can select from hundreds of code sets for download.

Innovative features include the world's first adjustable module and a uniquely compact design. Users can download remote control codes and interface designs tailored to their needs. Traditional remote control operations—pressing buttons based on visual cues—are outdated; as a smartphone-based solution, the app enables touch and motion control without looking at the device. The system can learn commands from your existing remote controls for customization.

If multiple remotes are used, the app supports position-specific selection via its compass feature for easy switching between devices. Please be aware that its operation relies on the dedicated IR Bling Bling module.

Usage instructions:

1. Download "IR Play" from the App Store.
2. Connect the purchased "IR Bling Bling" module. Adjust your iPhone/iPod settings by disabling automatic volume control and equalizer options in Music or iPod settings (settings vary by OS version). For OS version 5, navigate to Settings > General > Accessibility > Mono Audio and turn it off. Plug the IR Bling Bling into the headphone jack and launch the app with maximum headset volume to ensure proper signal transmission.
3. Register your remote control:
   • Enable Wi-Fi on your smartphone.
   • Tap ‘Device’ and select ‘Download New Remote’.
   • Choose your device type and brand, then aim your IR Bling Bling at the device while pressing navigation keys slowly. When the device responds (power on/off), click ‘OK’ to download the remote control configuration.
4. Create your personalized remote:
   • If your desired remote is not available, download a basic remote first.
   • You can then customize it through learning mode, allowing you to modify existing button functions or frequently used buttons for convenience.
5. Use location-based remote switching:
   • The app utilizes your smartphone’s internal compass to detect device orientation. When pointing towards the target device, it automatically switches to its remote interface.
   • Register device locations by selecting ‘Register Remote Location’ in settings and aiming the IR Bling Bling at the device before confirming registration.
6. Lightly shaking the smartphone switches between swipe and sensor modes for easier operation while using the remote functions.
