This educational application is ideally suited for young children who are just beginning to learn words or for preschoolers who are about to start vocabulary acquisition. It introduces a speaking-based learning method, allowing children to memorize both Japanese and English words.

■ The Importance of Speaking for Child Development 
Engaging children in speech is crucial for their growth. Verbal practice helps strengthen the voice and simultaneously stimulates neural activity, promoting overall development. Speech training also contributes to cognitive enhancement, fostering mental growth alongside language skills.

■ Parental Guidance Is Essential 
Children typically do not speak spontaneously without encouragement. It is important for parents to foster an environment where speaking is perceived as fun. Demonstrating enthusiasm by actively participating and praising efforts excessively can motivate children to speak more confidently and eagerly. Parental involvement plays a vital role in encouraging language learning.

■ Parents Should Play with the App First 
Initially, parents are advised to enjoy the app actively in front of their children. When a character asks, "What is this?", respond aloud, exemplifying engaging speech ("It’s so fun!"). Showing your own enjoyment sets a positive example that encourages children to imitate. Repeating this demonstration several times can help children become more willing to use the app independently.

■ Two Modes of "What is this?" Game Play 
The quiz-style "What is this?" offers two modes: "Practice Mode" and "Parent-Child Mode". In Practice Mode, the character prompts “What is this?” and the child answers verbally, with the app automatically progressing through questions—perfect for independent play. 
In Parent-Child Mode, parents can manually judge whether the child's spoken words are correct or incorrect, making the experience more interactive and fostering fun language learning together.

■ English Mode 
Focused on familiar words and everyday terms for children, this mode features 10 sets totaling 55 words in both Japanese and English. Native English speakers and current English teachers have contributed to accurate pronunciation. Children can listen through songs or quizzes and imitate correct pronunciations naturally—enhancing language acquisition efficiently.
