This application provides convenient access to weather charts on iPhone and iPad devices.

It currently offers the latest weather maps from the Japan Meteorological Agency, including:

• Weather charts (covering the Japan vicinity and Asia-Pacific region, available in color and monochrome)
  • Current weather charts
  • 24-hour forecast weather charts
  • 48-hour forecast weather charts
• Precipitation movement (nationwide, current location, or region selection)
  • Precipitation lines and bands
  • Lightning
  • Tornado occurrence probability
• Kikakuru (nationwide, current location)
  • Landslides
  • Flooding
  • Flood risk
• Weather forecasts (nationwide, current location, or region selection)
  • Weather distribution forecasts
  • Today's, tomorrow's, and the day after tomorrow's weather forecasts
  • Maximum and minimum temperatures
• AMeDAS data (nationwide, current location, or region selection)
  • Precipitation amounts, wind direction and speed, temperature, sunshine duration, humidity
• Meteorological satellites
  • Visual, infrared, water vapor images, true-color satellite imagery, cloud top highlighting
• Typhoon information
  • Typhoon track maps
• Numerical weather prediction
  • NWP weather charts (PDF format)
  • NWP forecast data (JMH)

When selecting options such as "Precipitation movement," "Kikakuru," "Weather forecast," "AMeDAS," or "Meteorological satellites" and choosing "Current location," the app attempts to retrieve your geographical position to display a zoomed-in map of the surrounding area. If your location cannot be determined—such as in the case of overseas access—the app defaults to displaying nationwide maps.

Please note that updates or changes to the Japan Meteorological Agency's website may temporarily prevent access to certain features.
