The current revision represents an initial effort to meet these reader expectations. The Revision Committee has worked with both the 1569 translation and the 1602 revision while consulting the Greek text relevant to contemporary biblical scholarship. Notably, this revision respects the Textus Receptus used by Reina and Valera, acknowledging textual variances while providing clarity through footnotes for significant discrepancies recognized in earlier manuscripts.
