Sudoku (shùdú) is a mathematical game that originated in Switzerland in the 18th century. It is a logic game that requires calculations using paper and pen. Players need to deduce the numbers for all remaining blank spaces based on the known numbers on a 9x9 grid and ensure that each row, each column, and each bold-line square (3x3) contain numbers from 1 to 9 without repetition.

The Sudoku grid consists of nine squares, each divided into nine small cells. Given certain known numbers and solving conditions within these eighty-one cells, logical reasoning is used to fill in the remaining blanks with numbers from 1 to 9. Each number from 1 to 9 must appear only once in every row, column, and square, hence the name "Sudoku."
