S05E03 Corridor: Yu Renren

Liu Qingchun was taken aback to learn that Wang Yong had not reported Lin Yongxin's incident to the bureau. Liu returned to the police department, where he underwent a suspension review that he navigated successfully. Wang Yong was posthumously honored as a martyr. Many events seemed to fade away as Liu detailed numerous ambiguities from the series of cases in his report. Upon returning to the criminal investigation team, he cut his hair short and concealed the tattoos on his arms. Liu understood that the anticipated 'disappearance' may soon come, and he had little time left.

Subsequently, an explosion occurred at the branch office.

Under Director Chen Shuangshi’s leadership, a sequence of explosions in seven rooms resulted in nine fatalities and fifteen injuries. The director died on the spot, as did the perpetrator. According to an investigation report from that afternoon: at 3 PM, a localized explosion erupted in the director's office, followed by simultaneous explosions in five other offices and two data rooms, causing extensive damage. The assailant was identified as Fu Yiqing, a 65-year-old former biology teacher turned factory worker, who was wanted for a previous case.

Three days later, a criminal organization known as "Black River Demon" claimed responsibility for the incident; however, subsequent investigations revealed this group to be fictitious.

Later on, Deputy Director Deng approached Liu Qingchun, remarking on his newfound habit of smoking.

Deng: "You've started smoking?"

Liu: "No addiction."

Deng: "It’s confidential; on the second floor of the old police dormitory, there is a letter left by Deng Qiuping which may hold other clues. Please check it tonight if you’re free."

Liu: "Understood."

S05E02 Ghost Ship: Deng Qiuping [Game Plot]

Liu Qingchun inquired: “Does Officer Deng's letter reference this fishing boat?”

Staff member: “Yes, but team leader, no one dares to board it; it's rumored to be haunted.”

Liu: “Haha, very well.”

Staff member: “Even during daylight, if something strange happens when you go…”

Liu: “Any other points I should be aware of?”

Staff member: “Three years ago, the boat's captain died on board; even his body was never recovered. Several fishing boats that attempted to approach later experienced severe mental breakdowns. There was also an incident last year…”

Liu: “That’s enough; I’ll inform you of any developments.”
